“Multifaceted aromas of lemon, orange zest, dusty stone, flint and white pepper sexed up by a yeasty, marrowy complexity. Sappy, saline and pure, showing outstanding inner-mouth energy and penetration. Virtually all of these 2014s have high acidity buffered by dry extract and spices. Almost youthfully bitter today and yet this bracing Clos is also pliant and sweet. Finishes with superb salty grip and length. This should age for a long time.”
