Champagne Gosset Celebris Rosé Extra Brut – 2007 – The Wine Advocate – 94 Points
94 points

Gosset’s 2007 Celebris Rosé Extra-Brut is a blended rosé made from 59% Chardonnay (from Avize, Chouilly, Cramant and Vertus) and 41% Pinot Noir (Aÿ, Bouzy and Ambonnay) of which 7% is red wine. This precise and focused wine displays an apricot color and opens with a super precise and chalky bouquet of oyster shells and iodine intertwined with fine red berry and rose petal notes. Pure and salty on the palate, this is sharp and precise as a knife but also highly finessed, textured and fruity, with a very discreet creaminess and chalky grip on the refreshing finish. This is not just an exciting rosé full of finesse and elegance but also a great 2007 that can compete with the very best.
