“The 2005 vintage in Chianti has been overshadowed largely by 2004 and 2006. Make no mistake, good wines came out of that region in 2005 and this is certainly one of them. Bright cherry-like notes are intertwined with gamey nuances. Mild tannins allow for immediate enjoyment and lively acidity keeps it from tiring throughout the meal.”
