“Bright ruby. Aromas of blackberry, licorice, dried flowers and spices are complicated by peppery herbs. Brooding and rather closed on entry, but nicely stuffed with energetic, clean fruit in the middle and a saline nuance on the long back end. The broad finish features youthfully chewy tannins that coat the palate but are typically nowhere near as astringent as those of most other Sagrantino wines.”
