“The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has more presence than the Lavaux Saint-Jacques, yet there remains something introverted about this cuvée; it’s a bit stoic at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins. It’s a little richer than the Lavaux, with more backbone, raspberry and wild strawberry laced with white pepper and clove, leading to a satisfying, cohesive finish.”
