“Deep purple-ruby. Aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry, violet, graphite, herbs and sweet oak. Lush and very sweet but with lively mint and floral notes lifting the flavors of black cherry, plum, coffee and vanilla. Finishes fresh, with a firm edge of tannins and lively acids, but has so much creamy fruit that it comes across as supple and suave. This will provide much early pleasure; I find it better balanced and livelier than the also very good 2007.”
