J. Schram, North Coast – 2001 – 92 points, A+ – Claude Kolm’s The Fine Wine Review

“J. Schram is the top-of-the-line wine at Schramsberg, and this 2001 is head and shoulders above any California sparkling wine that I can recall having tasted. The nose shows brioche, green apple, and a touch of grapefruit peel that with time becomes peach. In the mouth, the wine is lively and energetic with pure, deep lemony flavors and plenty of energy.”
