J. Schram Rosé, North Coast – 2000 – 95 points – Connoisseurs’ Guide to California Wine
95 points
“Its light, coppery pink hue may not be the look of a classic Rose, but in all other ways this impressive sparkler is just that. Deep and very well-filled with a wealth of incisive, cherry-like fruit played against plentiful and very rich elements of autolyzed yeast, it is solid and remarkably refined at the same time and reveals a bit more with each sip. Dry, firmly structured and able to stand up to a range of special dishes, it will make splendid drinking with dishes ranging from salmon filets to duck breasts.”
