“Opaque ruby. Nervy, spice-tinged red currant and cherry aromas take a turn to deeper cassis with air. Sappy and focused, showing very good concentration to the bitter cherry, black currant and licorice flavors. Finishes sappy and spicy, with a jolt of smoky minerals and dusty tannins coming in late. Not a bad showing at all for a tough vintage.”
