A Supreme Tuscan – The Wine from Testamatta’s Ancient Vines (*subscribers only)

“Last week we visited with Bibi Graetz, owner and winemaker of Testamatta, his 76 year old sangiovese vineyard near the town of Lamole in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. This has to be one of the oldest vineyards in the region. The wine produced from this vineyard is used in the blend of the estates flagship wine, Testamatta.

“In this video, Bibi and James taste the wine from barrel. James was surprised by the fresh acidity of the wine, having in mind that it has been made from 76 year old vines!

Watch the video to find out what is it exactly that these ancient vines add to the style of Testamatta.”
