Reviews

  • Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru – 2015 – 97 points – Wine Spectator

“Offers a broad mouthful of peach, apple and melon flavors, underscored by lively acidity. Has power and weight, with a mouthwatering finish... Really expansive on the finish, where citrus and mineral notes reign."

  • Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru – 2015 – 95 points – Vinous

"...High-pitched aromas of pineapple, peach pit and redcurrant are lively and pure. Silky, fine-grained and sweet, with harmonious acidity and penetrating chalky minerality giving the fresh orchard fruit flavors terrific precision. At once seamless and gripping, this impeccably balanced wine finishes with a subtle whiplash of flavor that leaves the salivary glands humming."

  • Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru – 2015 – 93-95 points – Burghound

"... There is outstanding volume, power and concentration to the focused, intense and palate coating broad-shouldered flavors that despite the imposing scale remain highly refined and particularly so on the markedly mineral-driven and explosively long finish. This won’t be the finest Chevalier that Leflaive has ever produced but it is a terrific effort for the vintage."

  • Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru – 2015 – 96 points – Decanter

"The Chevalier is exceptional this year, very reminiscent of the domaine's lovely 2005. A cool and reserved nose of lemon oil, crushed stones, white flowers and touch of subtle noisette introduces a powerful, full-bodied palate with bottomless depth, impeccable focus and tingling minerality. The finish is long, penetrating and very racy."
