Chardonnay, Maté’s Vineyard, Kumeu – 2007 – 93 points – The Wine Advocate

“The 2007 Mate’s Chardonnay is beautifully defined on the nose: cool stones and mountain streams. The palate is crisp and wonderfully balanced, citrus entry with prudent use of oak utterly subsumed into the character of the wine. Notes of hazelnut, a faint hint of lemongrass and lime zest towards the taut finish. Sheer class.”
