“Cogno’s 2011 Barolo Cascina Nuova is bright, precise and crystalline to the core. Sweet red berries, tobacco, mint, pine and anise all jump from the glass. This is one of the more brilliant Barolos of the vintage, but then again, that is what Ravera is all about. Insistent veins of minerality support the chiseled finish.”
