  • Introduction

    • The logo represents the fluid, the essence of the ancient costal lake of Prelius, what now is known as the Maremma Toscana around Grosseto. The lake has slowly disappeared also due to the drainage of the 30s and now the only fluid that’s left is the excellent wine making tradition of the region. The vineyards of Castelprile are located on a hilltop along the shores of the ancient lake, five miles from the sea facing the majestic Tuscan Archipelago.

Reviews

  • Bianco Riserva, Maremma Toscana DOC — 2021 – Wine Advocate – 92 Points

“A complex wine that takes a few unexpected twists and turns. It offers fruit freshness coupled with waxy aromas that denote a little more oxygen or age. It shows citrus and peach, but you also get floral and herbal tones. There is a hint of sweetness on the wine's rich, mid-weight finish.”

  • CastelPrile Riserva Bianco — 2021 – Vinous – 92 Points

'“Shows the nuance Vermentino can acquire with a touch of age. Chamomile, dried flowers, mint, lemon oil, marzipan and sage lend notable complexity throughout. This creamy, beautifully textured Vermentino is a winner."

  • Bianco Riserva, Maremma Toscana DOC — 2021 – James Suckling – 92 Points

"Notes of cooked apples and caramelized lemons with hints of almonds and creme caramel. Medium- to full-bodied, polished and textured with vivid acidity and a delicious fruit character. Creamy finish. From organically grown grapes."
