Celebrating Wilson Daniels 40th Anniversary in New York

The last stop — New York City! The #WilsonDaniels40 Anniversary Tour ended with a bang at the 214 Lafayette space in SoHo. With 5 floors, a terrace, and even an indoor pool, our prestige wine took center stage as VIP guests and media made their way through the space tasting, talking, and learning more about our portfolio.

After four stops, our winery partners were excited to show off their latest vintages along with some library wines, and media guests interviewed producers on the terrace while sipping wine. A sabering demo by Erik Segelbaum, beverage manager and Advanced Sommelier, was a huge hit, with flowing Gosset and a a lot of cheers. Even Hugh Davis of Schramsberg also tried his hand at sabering — and succeeded. (He’s done this a time or two.)

A blind tasting led by Hristo Zisovski, Master Sommelier and Beverage Director for the AltaMarea Group, was also a guest favorite, where 15 VIPs got to try their hand at guessing what Wilson Daniels wine was being featured — three reds and three whites. (Plus, a little sparkling wine to keep things interesting and their palate refreshed.) The winner won a Gosset magnum, quite the prize if we do say so ourselves.

As the Wilson Daniels team, our winery partners, and guests mingled and tasted the amazing portfolio, it became clear that this was what our company was about — the best prestige wines, with a focus on quality, excellence, and family. Because when you’re a part of the Wilson Daniels team, you become just that — family.

Thanks to all our partners and guests for an amazing week full of great wine and great times. Here’s to many more years and many more memories. Cheers!
