“Mirabelle Brut Rosé is a blend of chardonnay and pinot noir. Why are these two grape varieties often blended together for sparkling? They are two of the three grape varieties used in Champagne production (the third is Meunier), but it is not just that. Chardonnay brings citrus fruits, finesse and longevity (from its great acid structure) to the blend, and pinot noir adds those great strawberry, raspberry and red cherry flavors along with a richly textured body.
