Wilson Daniels Shares Concerns Regarding Auction of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

ST. HELENA, CA (February 8, 2012) – Wilson Daniels, the exclusive U.S. agent for Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, recently received information regarding concerns being expressed in the public domain related to the Spectrum/Vanquish “Auction of Rarities” which will take place on February 8th at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel in London.

The information that we received directed us to www.wineberserkers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=61172&p=809583
The content was shared with Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The contents of the message focused on the alleged consignor of a number of the Domaine’s wines in this sale. Specifically, Mr. Don Cornwell published details and specific concerns over labeling discrepancies of some of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti lots being offered in the upcoming auction.

Wilson Daniels is not an official authenticator of the Domaine’s wines except for those wines that it has sold directly from its U.S. allocation, including, from time to time, older vintages provided directly by the Domaine. The Domaine will only authenticate stock that has come directly from itself via its authorized agents.

Wilson Daniels feels that it has a responsibility to its U.S. customers to make public the comprehensive concerns expressed by Mr. Cornwell in his evaluation of the wines from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in the lots being offered in this auction.
