Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos – 2012 – 93 points, Year’s Best White Burgundy – Wine & Spirits
93 points

“Michel Laroche planted his 2.77 acres of Les Clos in 1960, those vines now producing a chardonnay with the scent of flowers in limestone. This 2012 is dark and smoky, contrasting that youthful, earthy intesity with pale notes of cream and fresh-cut apple. It finishes with beautiful clarity of fruit, invigorating in its persistence.”
