“From a vineyard outside of Auckland, this is the most mineral of the Kumeu River chardonnays. It develops pear and almond flavors as it evolves in the glass. There’s and underlying root-vegetable earthiness that follows the oak in the finish. Chill it for roast sturgeon.”
