Coltassala, Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG – 2004 – 90 points – The Wine Advocate
90 points
“The estate’s 2004 Chianti Classico Coltassala, a single-vineyard blend of Sangiovese and Mammolo, spent 18 months in small French oak. It exhibits greater structure than the previous bottlings, with a deeply aromatic nose and smoke, tobacco, toasted oak and vibrant sweet dark fruit on a medium-bodied frame. It offers excellent length and a lingering note of sweetness from the oak on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019.”
