“The 2008 Insoglio del Cinghiale emerges from the glass with rather assertive aromatics, including grilled herbs, blackberry jam, smoke and scorched earth. Plums melt into wild cherries and an assortment of other dark fruit in this plump, juicy red. Some of the intensity of the fruit tapers off on the mid-palate, leading to a finish that is a touch slender.”
