Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes – 2007 – 90-93 points – Burghound.com

“This is also very restrained, indeed aggressive swirling is required to get this to open up even minimally though when it does, hints of oak, white flower, wet stone and ripe pear become apparent. The relatively big-bodied flavors are rich, full and powerful but retain an underlying sense of cut and detail on the palate staining and beautifully long finish. This is a big wine and while it’s not as weighty as the grands crus, it knocks on the door.”
