“Fragrant with Victoria plum fruit and a touch of blossom. Wonderfully dry and firm on the palate, the tannins giving it a light but welcome structure. Both appetising and refreshing, and long with a grip on the finish boding well for the table."
"Furmint, Hárslevelü and Muscat de Lunel planted on black volcanic soil at density of 6,000 vines/ha and hand harvested in late Oct. DWWA 2012 Gold Medal and IWC 2012 and IWSC 2012 Silver Medals. Smoky, clean and dried apricots. Very fresh."
"A rich yet refined and focused style, with bold cinnamon, apple, raspberry and hazelnut aromas that open to opulent tropical fruit and spicy candied ginger flavors, finishing with crisp acidity"
"…this furmint positively glows with flavor, moving from apricot into a red fruit realm... back to the stony flavor at the wine's center. Half the blend spent time in oak, an element that grows in impression over the course of several days…"
"From a very wet vintage, this is much lighter than the 2011, with a golden apple scent and a bit of honeyed spice, yet it's still very much compelling, with a nervosity that gives it energy. For a creamy fish paprikash."
"It rained so much in 2010 -- nearly half of the harvest season -- that Royal Tokaji didn't produce any Aszu wines at all. What healthy, late-harvest grapes they did manage to collect went into the Mad Cuvee (Called Ats Cuvee in Hungary, after the former winemaker who developed it). It's dynamic, and totally Tokaji in character, though it's not particularly sweet -- 'I could drink a whole bottle of this tmyself,' said one taster, remarking on its balance and deliciousness. The fruit feels full but weightless, all burnt orange marmalade and sweet peach; the acidity and minerality keep it edgy and buoyant, and allow it to finish clean."
"A pungent blend of muscat, riesling and pinot gris, this has a honeyed fragrance and a jasmine buzz of acidity. It's a gentle, country-style Alsace white with herbal notes to accompany pan-roasted fish."
"A savory, meaty style, sporting dried cherry, leather, bouillon and tea notes. Firm and balanced, with the flavors accented by dusty tannins on the lingering finish."
"Very fine and complex, this is a great sparkling wine…It's rich with flavors of strawberries, limes, vanilla and honey, with lots of smokey toast and yeastiness. Above all, the mousse is exceptionally refined and pure."
"An affordable classic from multiple sources, this cool-vintage red has a bright cherry scent marked by a sanguine bottom note. The flavors are savory, the mid-palate generous and marked by a bergamot lift to the finish."
"A voluptuous 2011, this wine's creamy, pear-like fruit has accents of Rainier cherries and tangerine. It tightens up in the finish, with acidity creating a mouthwatering contrast to all the generous fruit. For a veal roast."

"A sumptuous, full-flavored riesling, this opens from flintiness and mineral notes to a powerful line drive of fruit richness. The apricot flavors are rounded in the end, without any hard edges. Serve this with veal schnitzel."
"A bright mix of floral notes and toasty aromatics, this offers very crisp flavors of fresh lemon, lime and nectarine. The texture is silky smooth, with refreshing, zingy acidity."
"Tangy, with peach and pineapple flavors that are crisp, smooth and refreshing, showing good acidity. The details of honeysuckle, spice and baked apple lend this added complexity."
"The lively acidity lends a fresh, crisp edge to the lime, pear and apricot notes, with lemon zest and spicy cedary details, showing a touch of sea salt minerality. This powerful version maintains an air of elegance, enhanced by a long finish."
"Sleek and crisp, this white offers complex and detailed notes of toasted coconut, apple pie, spice and lime zest, complementing the core of pure lemon, melon and peach flavors. Drink now through 2020."
