“Nutty and floral on the nose and palate, where some lemony fruit also comes through. But this is essentially nutty and minerally.”

“Complex nose of mixed citrus fruit, a melange of meadow flowers and some wet sandstone. Equally intriguing on the palate, where some almond and fresh cream savoriness overtakes the fruit to give a long finish. Then limey fruit reappears in the aftertaste. The well-poised bubbles give excellent support. Delicious and super-refined Prosecco. This is so much more than an aperitif. One of the best out there."

“Exuberant with aromas of broth and tropical, herbal, and saline notes. Medium-bodied, with a lovely waxy viscosity, it reveals elements of saline and fresh pineapple, without feeling bloated or heavy. It has an Alpine sensibility, with a light bitter almond note on the finish as well as lime blossom and citrus. This fresh white would work over a broad spectrum of food pairings and could be a sommelier’s secret weapon.”

“A pale ruby, with notes of ripe wild strawberry, cinnamon, and white pepper. It is lifted, fresh, and medium-bodied, with fresh acidity and a good clean finish. Another fresh example to serve with salumi and as an aperitif, with a light chill, it is easy to drink and approachable.”

“This is beautiful with floral and spice perfume and offers a Burgundian aesthetic, with notes of apricot and wet stone. It is medium-bodied, highly refined, and pure, with complexity that continues to evolve in the glass, revealing notes of rhubarb, apricot, wild raspberry, and dusty earth. A beautiful and expressive wine with a lot of grace.”

“This is a very special wine, in that it moves from incense to red berries, rose petal, and licorice. It has a gripping structure, though, with sweet ripe tannins and evolving orchard fruit. Everyone will get something from this wine. It is a beautiful wine in this stage, and it is elegant and graceful.”

“This was also tasted from barrel and takes on more intensity in its aromatics of guava, grapefruit, and wet stone. Medium-bodied, with some salinity, this is an accessible wine for those who would like an introduction into the white wines of the Gaja estate. It has a linear feel, with rounded fruit on the mid-palate and a fresh spine of acidity.”

“This always offers a slightly more accessible and versatile personality that makes it easier to pair with your favorite meat-based dishes. This wine shows us how much depth and complexity can also be achieved with this combination of local varieties. The wine is intense and especially concentrated thanks to ripe fruit and careful oak aging. You feel the force of Sagrantino's tannic imprint, but that power is well managed and contained. With dark and chewy fruit, this is a wine you sink your teeth into.”

“Spicy and pure, it is full of red berries with Asian spice and white pepper. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with elegance and refinement throughout, approachable and fine tannins, no harsh edges, and a long-lasting floral finish. This seem to be a vintage that will drink well early but have plenty of longevity as well.”
