Both subtlety and ripe richness are conveyed with the mellow apple, hayflower and lemon aromas of this wine. The palate comes in with 2018's mellow ripeness but presents a bundled, textured midpalate that shows off the ripe freshness and dry excellence of Riesling, all in a buffered and harmonious package.

Named after Laroche’s medieval head office in Chablis, this wine comes from selected parcels of Les Blanchots. The wine is concentrated and delineated with acidity, white fruits and a steely textured edge.

Les Clos has the reputation of being the most austere of the grand cru vineyards when it is young. Certainly this tight wine with its tense texture is just at the beginning of its career. Toast and crisp white fruits add openness to this structured wine.

An inflection of green herbs and green fruit marks this round, lively white, with apple, yellow plum and earth notes completing the profile. Excellent length.

Old vines grown on a warm, exposed slope (important in Chablis) give this wine its richness and textured concentration. Ripe apple and tangy lime flavors complement a tight edge that will soften as the wine matures.

Shaded by accents of autumn leaves, caramelized balsamic and nutmeg but retains a penetrating core of blackberry and black-plum flavors. Cut with shards of limestone and salt, this invigorating, peppery wine finishes long on fine, feathery tannins and a murmur of leather.

This earthy white offers tones of grass and melon, with sharp edges of citrus to lend lift. Notes of stone and dried herb lend balance to the grippy palate.

Stunning complexity, length and intention. Fresh cedary spice weaves through fleshy peach fruit; granite dust through wild cherries; lavender through nectarines. It’s full yet fine, unfurling into every corner of the palate, saturated with stony minerality and sweet bitters. On the finish, a very subtle salty alpine-strawberry sherbet buzz. Up there as one of the beautiful rosés I’ve tasted.

Plenty of fruit concentration. The palate is slightly tropical on the entry, but very pure, with a fine bead of acidity. Fresh and quite saline, there is a lot of extract and intensity. Pushing Grand Cru in quality.
