Named after Laroche’s medieval head office in Chablis, this wine comes from selected parcels of Les Blanchots. The wine is concentrated and delineated with acidity, white fruits and a steely textured edge.

Les Clos has the reputation of being the most austere of the grand cru vineyards when it is young. Certainly this tight wine with its tense texture is just at the beginning of its career. Toast and crisp white fruits add openness to this structured wine.

Stunning complexity, length and intention. Fresh cedary spice weaves through fleshy peach fruit; granite dust through wild cherries; lavender through nectarines. It’s full yet fine, unfurling into every corner of the palate, saturated with stony minerality and sweet bitters. On the finish, a very subtle salty alpine-strawberry sherbet buzz. Up there as one of the beautiful rosés I’ve tasted.

Plenty of fruit concentration. The palate is slightly tropical on the entry, but very pure, with a fine bead of acidity. Fresh and quite saline, there is a lot of extract and intensity. Pushing Grand Cru in quality.
