An exuberantly floral-suffused nose speaks of citrus, spice, passion fruit, exotic Asian-style tea and a tough of anise. The bigger and richer broad-shouldered flavors remain focused and almost as refined with superb depth and persistence on the impeccably well-balanced finale. This is also very classy and a wine that should age gracefully for several decades. This is also a bonafide stunner of a wine.

Here the equally beautiful nose is quite similar to that of the Pucelles save for being much more restrained. Cool, pure and almost painfully intense flavors possess the same sleek, sophisticated and graceful texture as well as even better persistence on the youthfully austere, compact and wonderfully complex finale. This is a stunner of a Bienvenues.

Prominent notes of honeysuckle and passion fruit are laced with a variety of space and citrus elements. There is good richness and an abundance of dry extract to the strikingly refined flavors that possesses a gorgeous mouthfeel which delivers flat out superb length on the balanced finale. This is very classy juice that should basically age for as long as anyone would reasonably like.

Moderate reduction is sufficient to mask the underlying fruit today. More interesting are the wonderfully fine and delicate yet punchy flavors that possess a highly sophisticated mouthfeel before culminating in a sappy saline and strikingly persistent finish. I very much like the balance and this beauty may well prove to be a great Combettes in time.

Here the beautifully layered nose flirts with the exotic in the form of white and yellow peach, dried apricot, jasmine tea and a similar array of spice wisps. The ripe yet retrained and more obviously mineral-driven flavors possess excellent depth and persistence on the very lemon-tinged finale. This too is noticeably firmer and should reward a decade plus of keeping.

An overtly floral suffused nose displays notes of pear compote, citrus confit and subtle spice wisps. There is excellent vibrancy to the attractively textured medium weight flavors that also exude a refreshing salinity on the citrusy, dry and notably more complex finish that is perceptibly firmer. This should age well.

A cool, pure and airy nose is comprised by notes of apple, citrus and white peach. There is once again fine punch and delineation to the middle weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the linear, youthfully austere and bone-dry finale.

Mild reduction blurs the nuance of what appears to be ripe white orchard aromas. There is both excellent volume and salinity to the attractively textured medium-bodied flavors that terminate in a bracingly dry, complex and well-balanced finale.

Firm reduction dominates the underlying fruit a present. Otherwise, there is fine intensity to the delineated and concentrated medium weight flavors that flash good minerality on the nicely complex and persistent finale. This possesses enough mid-palate fat to be accessible young but should have no trouble aging gracefully.

Elegant and very pretty aromas of petrol, acacia blossom and various white orchard fruit give way to sleek and relatively sophisticated flavors that are once again markedly saline, which only contributes further to the refreshing and persistent finish. This is lovely and understated.

Super-fresh aromas include those of green apple, spice and a plethora of citrus nuances. The medium weight flavors are not quite as dense but they're notably finer and with better precision on the mineral-driven, clean and agreeably dry finale that is just a bit firmer.

A pretty nose is comprised by pronounced floral elements that add a touch of elegance to the bright citrus and apple scents. The middle weight flavors exude a bracing salinity on the clean and nicely dry finale. While this could easily be enjoyed upon release, it offers enough development potential to reward a few years of keeping.

Scents of hazelnut, mocha and lime-custard crème brûlée appear on the nose of the 2019 Mate's Vineyard Chardonnay. Complex and compelling, it's undoubtedly one of Kumeu River's top recent efforts. Medium to full-bodied, plump and generous on the palate, yet marked by zesty acids and a bright, citrusy finish, it's wonderfully balanced and drinkable now, yet it should age effortlessly for at least a decade.

Medium to full-bodied, but it leans more toward the pineapple-citrus side of the spectrum. Delicate hints of toasted nuts appear on the nose, while the palate offers pineapple, yellow plum and lime notes, particularly on the long, refreshing finish.

Boasting signature scents of toasted hazelnuts and white peaches, the 2019 Estate Chardonnay is a classic example of the house style. Medium to full-bodied, it somehow manages to be creamy and zesty at the same time, with rich fruit enlivened by electric acidity and bright citrus notes. Always enjoyable young, this vintage looks to have at least a decade's worth of longevity.

A bit more floral and citrusy than the Kumeu-region bottlings, this shows plenty of pineapple and even lemon-lime aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, it's crisp and zesty, with a long, citrusy finish.

Made only in exceptional years, Les Clos is a selection of the estate’s top parcels….Fermented in stainless steel, then aged in unlined sandstone eggs, the 2020 feels as ambitious as its heavyweight bottle suggests, the wine’s creamy richness noticeable from the first whiff. Its plump, leesy texture fills the mouth, making plenty of room for the ripe, spicy flavors; bitter herbals add contour to its fleshy red-plum and cherry fruit. Built to last.
