Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley – 2018

The Tasting Panel
91 Points

A pleasant array of chocolate, white pepper, soy sauce and tart cherry show well in this promising red… It certainly over delivers for the price.

Sweet red cherry, plum, tobacco, spice and cedar all meld together in a creamy, resonant Cabernet that has so much to offer. The Napa Valley is a real overachiever in this vintage.

Rasteau — 2018

Jeb Dunnuck
92 Points

In addition to their brilliant Chateauneuf du Papes, this estate makes two terrific Rasteau. Their 2018 Rasteau offers a medium to full-bodied, fruit-forward, balanced style as well as the more blue fruit character that’s common in the vintage. With classic pepper, earth, and spice notes, it should easily be an outstanding wine.

Fresh, clean plum and berry aromas drive a focused nose that shows a hint of oak spice. This crianza from a superb vintage is fairly full in body but balanced by firm acidity. Blackberry, blackcurrant and background spice flavors are integrated on a balanced finish.

Watermelon. It's a full-bodied rosé, but there's good freshness. Touch of tangerine on the finish. Good acidity - well balanced, gastronomic rosé.

This bold and sinewy red is packed with flavor. Notes of steeped black cherry and currant are teamed up with graphite, wild herb and espresso underpinnings. A vibrant acidity accentuates the tea, spice and orange peel elements, marking the long finish. Should age nicely.

Aromas of licorice, tobacco and new leather mingle with ripe woodland berry and balsamic whiffs of camphor. The aromas follow over to the full-bodied, rather concentrated palate along with dried cherry and ground clove framed in firm tannins.

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG — 2015

A combination of plum and cherry fruit and juicy texture introduces this lithe, intense red, which tightens up as it builds to the finish, where a mineral element and fine-grained tannins reign. This lingers, leaving a mouthwatering impression.
