“This is a creamy Pouilly-Fuissé showing custard, vanilla pastries, apricots and hazelnuts on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied, rounded and supple with a soft finish. Blend of chardonnay from five lieu-dits in the village of Pouilly. Drink now.”

“Ripe lemons, pink lady apple, Bosc pear, honeysuckle and salty sweet butter come together in the glass. Round and focused with brisk acidity that refreshes and provides lift especially to its intense mineral midpalate. Wonderful to enjoy now.”

“Fresh aromas of ripe lemon verbena, hay, honeysuckle, lilac and gardenia intertwine in the glass. The palate adds a layer of citrus leading toward a saline and pithy finish. Although one is left desiring more fruit and tension, the wine has evident structure and a long finish.”

“Aromas of tangerine skin interlaced with delicate white flowers are beautifully framed by vanilla pod and almond. The mirroring palate carries precise layers of citrus zest, orange oil, warm baking spices, raw almonds, and vanilla extract. The oak spice frames the fruit beautifully and yields to a light tangerine skin finish.”

“It has a nuanced nose, understated at first, opening with yellow plum, jasmine and crushed rock scents, showing very good delineation. The palate is well balanced, the oak neatly integrated and subtly, allowing the texture to shine through. There’s plenty of energy here. This is precise on the finish, and it will age very well in bottle...If you can resist the temptation.”

“It has a discrete bouquet, reluctantly offering yellow fruit and oily aromas. A faint touch of menthol might become accentuated with bottle age. The palate is crisp, fresh, and well-balanced. A pleasant bitter lemon note counterbalances what feels like a slightly richer style of Pouilly-Fuisse. Perhaps it doesn’t fully possess the same complexity on the finish as other vintages I have tasted. Nevertheless, it will age well in bottle.”

'“It has a perfumed bouquet with pressed yellow flowers, white peach, gooseberry and light sea spray scents that unfold in the glass. The palate is taut and fresh. There’s impressive depth, considering the vintage, with attractive orange pith and mango notes. Orange rind and a touch of spice appear on the finish.”

'“The nose is well defined with yellow plum and light waxy aromas, a little Conference pear emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with green apple,l pear and nuanced stony notes. Light on its feet and tensile, there is fine nervosite toward the finish. The 2021 is a cool, calm, collected Pouilly-Fuisse to enjoy over the next decade.”

'“I appreciate the mineralite on the nose considering the warmth of that year’s summer. There are touches of wet pavement and flint percolating through the subtle tropical-tinged scents. The palate is well balanced with an attractive waxy texture, delineated with a bit of spice perking up on the finish. There’s a twist of sour lemon on the aftertaste. This is delicious. ”

Grown in limestine, marl and chalk, producing a clean, fresh chardonnay, its peach and pear flavors shot through with mineral pallor. The leesy creaminess is pointed up by a third of the wine aging in barrels, but it’s mostly about tight scents of narcissus and a monolithic limestone structure gentled by the fruit.
