“Unusually generous for Provençal Rosé, this shows a soft bouquet at the outset, but then very ripe flavors recalling red berries. Fully medium-bodied, this is not in the wispy style that many wine lovers now associate with Provence Rosé. I once overheard someone bemoan that style by quipping, “I’d like some wine in my wine,” and that person would be very pleased by this release.”

"Offers a juicy blast of red berry and orange peel acidity, showing good concentration and a hint of lavender. Glossy and open in feel, this is shored up with flint and salty mineral notes. Mouthwatering through the tangy, silky and persistent finish."

"Deep, glistening amber-pink in the glass, the 2023 Rosé Les Commandeurs is expressive and especially pretty, with an engaging bouquet of ripe pear, honeysuckle, baked apple and sweet spices. Well-proportioned, it strikes a fine balance of suppleness, juiciness and grip, propped up against a backdrop of typical Provençal salinity. All this is missing is some depth through the mid-palate—it's just a little ethereal. A pleasant vanilla nuance shows up right at the tail end, rendering this a little creamier than expected. Lovely. This is a fine effort."

"The 2023 Rosé Le Clos Peyrassol is gorgeously floral—a wine built much more on aromatic expression and complexity than concentration of flavors. The bouquet evokes a walk through a rose garden in the throes of spring, punctuated by the occasional pop of fresh, just-ripe apricot, pineapple and deep overtones of stemmy herbs and sweet baking spices. Focused, pure and delicate, this is a supremely elegant edition of Le Clos, if a bit introspective. There's a discernible blossom honey note on the close that I find so engaging, wrapping things up with just a touch of inner sweetness."

"Pouring a light orange-yellow in the glass, the 2023 Rosé Chateau Peyrassol is zippy, bright and extremely floral, sprinting out of the gate with well-formed notes of tangerine, ripe cherry, strawberry and freshly cut roses. In fact, you could convince me that there's actual rosewater in the bottle (I jest, of course). Deeply mineral and notably broad, it manages to remain light on its feet, balancing its citrusy zing with a hint of waxiness on the finish and repeating that floral note into the sunset."

"Extremely pale in hue, with notes of rose water, creamed peach and melon that turn creamy and rich on the palate. A saline mineral streak adds depth and focus through the refined finish, which is marked by heather, lemon verbena and dried green herb details."

“A floral-herbal edge takes this wine beyond the simplicity of most pale pinks, and it lasts on peach-pit savor. For grilled zucchini.”

“The 2022 Rosé Le Clos Peyrassol keeps the glass in constant motion. Swirling unlocks depths of dried apricot and peaches, complicated by sweet smoke and mint. This is deeply textural, creamy yet lively all the same, with tantalizing acidity and vividly ripe orchard fruits perfectly contrasted by ginger. Cooling and poised, yet still juicy on the palate, the 2022 finishes with admirable length, leaving green melon and inner florals to fade slowly.” —Eric Guido

Made only in exceptional years, Les Clos is a selection of the estate’s top parcels….Fermented in stainless steel, then aged in unlined sandstone eggs, the 2020 feels as ambitious as its heavyweight bottle suggests, the wine’s creamy richness noticeable from the first whiff. Its plump, leesy texture fills the mouth, making plenty of room for the ripe, spicy flavors; bitter herbals add contour to its fleshy red-plum and cherry fruit. Built to last.
