Arnaldo Caprai
Montefalco Rosso Riserva DOC
Embodies the bolder spirit of its little brother Montefalco Rosso, with a similar composition of Sangiovese, Sagrantino, and Merlot. The special vineyard sites and location for this wine rival the textural and body characteristics of even the best Brunello di Montalcino.

2022
"Showing big intensity with black fruit flavors and sweet spice, the full-bodied Arnaldo Caprai 2022 Montefalco Rosso Riserva is a tag-team effort of Sagrantino and Sangiovese. The Umbrian grape delivers power and structure, with the Sangiovese bringing freshness and dark fruit flavors. The 2022 vintage saw a warm and sunny growing season, and this wine shows chewy richness and almost protein-like texture as a result. It comes close to going over the top."
