Esprit Leflaive
Beaune Premier Cru Les Tuvilains
Les Tuvilains is comprised of two blocks on either side of a small country road. Located on the lower slopes, west-southwest of the town of Beaune itself, the plots tend to have more clay and are often at risk of Spring frosts. Pierre Vincent’s elegant and deft touch in expressing the beautiful character of Pinot Noir, even from vineyards often considered to be bordering upon rustic, is fully apparent in this wine which has polish and expresses lovely balance

Even with this village-level offering, Pierre Vincent’s elegant and deft touch in expressing the beautiful character of Pinot Noir is fully apparent. This wine has polish and balance beyond its label and expresses lovely balance. Cultivation: Organic, Ecocert 2018

Attractive fruitiness with beautiful notes of wild strawberries make it a very charming wine. There is immense density on the palate due to the full maturity of tannins which will aid in its longevity.

“Charred oak and smoke notes frame the black cherry and blackberry fruit in this suave, silky red. The lush texture and saturated fruit flavors make this appealing now, with mineral and spice accents adding detail.”
