Reviews

  • Bienvenues Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru – 2007 – 98 points – Wine Enthusiast

“A glorious outpouring of beautifully crafted Chardonnay, opulent but tightly mineral. The ripe apple and pear character has a delicate, elegant squeeze of lime, while the whole wine is underpinned by wood.”

  • Bienvenues Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru – 2007 – 94 points – Wine Spectator

“This elegant and firmly structured white evokes hazelnut, stone and pastry aromas and flavors. Bright and juicy, turning firmer and tighter on the finish. Spice and mineral flavors play out on the aftertaste.”

  • Bienvenues Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru – 2007 – 94 points – Wine & Spirits

“Though not as intense as the Batard, this wine has its own sophisticated minerality. The structure is robust, heady with alcohol and fleshed out by oak until air brings out the sunny richness of fruit, along with a citrusy scent of orange blossoms.”

  • Bienvenues Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru – 2007 – 94 points – The Wine Advocate

"With infectious primary juiciness of ripe fruit accompanied by liquid floral perfume on the palate, and transparent to saline and chalky nuances, this is creamy and rich without sacrificing refreshment or a sense of lift and delicacy...."
