Schramsberg Vineyards
Blanc de Noirs Brut North Coast
Blanc de Noirs (white from black) is the counterpart to Blanc de Blancs (white from white). Made primarily from the red grape Pinot Noir, this is a complex, medium-bodied, brut sparkling wine that is aged on the yeast lees in the bottle for two to three years prior to disgorgement.
The character of Schramsberg wines reflects access to the best cool-climate sites in Napa, Sonoma, Marin and Mendocino.

Aromas of passion fruit, loquat, strawberry, pear, pineapple, and almost ripe peach harmonize with notes of ginger, vanilla, blanched almond, and nutmeg. The palate begins with a bright and juicy entry, that integrates dense and lively layers of zesty orange, nectarine, and tropical fruit. Its mouth-watering acidity and verve lead to a balanced, clean, and crisp finish.

"Quite delicate and elegant, showing aromas of lemon peel, grapefruit, salted nuts, oyster shells and puff pastry. The palate is bright and tight, with a fine line of acidity and well-rounded mousse. A lovely wine. Drink or hold."

"Tiny bubbles convey aromas of baked pear, sweet plum, orange marmalade, and brioche on the nose of this wine. A firm, orange-peel mousse is accented by salted Marcona almond. The finish is creamy and dry, with good acidity and mouthwatering minerality. "
