Feudo Montoni
Catarratto del Masso Sicilia DOC
The name “Masso” comes from the rocky, sandy stones found in the vineyard, which are rich in iron and contribute to the wine’s distinct mineral structure. This terroir imparts a unique sapidity and freshness, giving the wine a firm and savory profile. THis wine is known for its powerful character and mineral complexity.
The vineyard lies in a high-altitude region, protected by centuries-old durum wheat fields that act as a natural barrier, creating an "island within an island." This isolation allows the ancient grape varieties to thrive undisturbed, preserving their purity and distinctiveness. The vineyard has a unique soil composition of rocky sand and iron, which gives the wine its characteristic freshness and mineral edge.

A golden color with lustrous, green reflections. On the nose, it presents delicate notes of bay leaf, orange flower blossom, with aromas of citrus groves of Sicilian “lumie” lemons, pink grapefruit and freshly cut grass. On the palate, it is very fresh and persistent, with a long finish marked with notes of almonds.

"Floral and fragrant, this is lightly chalky in texture and mouthwatering. Ripe and juicy flavors of yellow peach, blood orange and plum are accented by hints of Marcona almond and pickled ginger. A bright, light-bodied white, with good range and focus."
