Celeste Verdejo, DO Rueda
Celeste Verdejo is born on the slopes of the Duero River near Villafranca de Duero from soley estate vineyards. The Familia Torres owned vineyards lie in a unique zone of the DO with distinct soils of riverbed gravel and stones which allow the verdejo to mature exceptionally and imparts a characteristic minerality to the wine. Made with the Verdejo varietal and a small percentage of Sauvignon Blanc, with a period of lees aging, to add unique complexity to this friendly and approachable wine.

"The 2024 Celeste Verdejo Sur Lies includes 14% Sauvignon Blanc from Rueda. At this stage, it leans strongly toward Sauvignon, with aromas of apple, grapefruit, lime and herbs. The palate is slightly creamier, with refreshing acidity. This is a wine that straddles both Verdejo and Sauvignon profiles, offering clear, expressive flavor and a taut, energetic structure."
