Domaine Laroche
Chablis Grand Cru Les Bouguerots
The Westernmost Grand Cru of Chablis. Les Bouguerots always offers real power and fruity charm. In the heart of the Grands Crus, Domaine Laroche owns 31 hectares of Les Bouguerots total 15.85 hectares. These vines offer a great aromatic diversity.
The vineyard benefits from an excellent south-facing exposure near the river Serein on a slope rich in calcareous stones. At the foot of the hill, a 11.8 inch layer of clay allows water retention in summer, which is crucial for the balance of the grapes. The vineyard was planted with Laroches own selection of plants coming from the old vines of the Domaine.

"The 2023 Chablis Bougros Les Bouguerots Grand Cru has a clean, conservative bouquet with crushed rock and malic scents. This will clearly require some time in bottle. The palate is fresh and tensile, with notes of apricot and nectarine. This has crisp acidity and a very cohesive, persistent finish. It does not quite have the complexity of the Blanchot this year, but it is still a well-crafted Chablis Grand Cru."
