Château du Moulin-à-Vent
La Rochelle
La Rochelle is arguably considered the top single vineyard in the Moulin-à-Vent appellation. It sits at 280m in altitude with vines that are over 80 years old. The low-yielding vines create intensely concentated wines that have serious ageing potential.

2022
"The 2023 Moulin-à-Vent La Rochelle comes from a south-facing vineyard populated by old vines, many 90- to 100-years-old, that are worked manually by man or by horse. Its gorgeous, pure bouquet has a mixture of red and blue fruit and violet and rose petal aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with chiseled tannins, conveying a sense of symmetry and poise, with a healthy dash of black pepper enlivening the finish. This is excellent."
