Ruby red in color with clear purple reflections. The nose is powerful, and concentrated and exudes notes of black cherry and spice. The palate is rich and smooth with good energy and concentration. The finish is elegant. An excellent wine for cellar aging.

"Technical director Jérôme Flous describes the Faiveley Corton as 'a Charlemagne rouge', but if this is true, it is a ripe one, with seductive aromas of raspberry, blackberry and currant with a slightly salty mineral edge. The tannic line is firm and straight, but there is enough flesh to help this age for decades, as previous vintages have shown. This is among the better Cortons I have had this year."
