Domaine Faiveley
Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Damodes
At the northern end of Les Damodes, bordering Vosne-Romanée, Faiveley’s parcel sits high on the slope, where a cooler microclimate brings exceptional freshness and energy to an already silky, elegant wine.
Plot: 0.81 ha. Lying above “Les Boudots” and adjacent to “Vosne Malconsorts”, this vineyard shares the same characteristics as Faiveley’s “Echezeaux” and “Cazetiers”, with a shallow, hard, compact, sandy-clay soil that is sometimes subject to drought. This hugely benefits our grapes, infusing them with a unique minerality.

Deep ruby red hue. The expressive nose opens up with black fruits, spice, and subtle toasted notes. The attack is elegant and refined and the palate is characterized by floral notes and a touch of mocha.

“Cask sample. Juicy, sweet fruit followed by muscular tannins. Very complete. A little more serious than some.”
