Bricco dei Merli Barbera d’Alba DOC
The vineyards are located in Ravera and Pasinotti areas; Bricco (meaning "hill") indicates that this vineyard is located at the very top of the hill. A typical Piedmontese wine, wellstructured and suitable for ageing, in which wood and fruit blend to maintain intact the characteristics and typicality of the grape varietal.
The Barbera vines are situated in the Novello commune at an average altitude of 300 meters above sea level, with a south-southeast exposure. The vineyard practices sustainable viticulture, with vines aged 17 to 27 years. The soils are calcareous-clay, ideal for growing Barbera, and the vines are trained using the Guyot pruning system. Vineyard density is 4,500 vines per hectare (1,821 vines per acre).

"Bright, fresh and harmonious, this red bursts with juicy black cherry, blackberry, tamarind and iron flavors. There are firm yet pliable tannins, and the acidity drives this to the long conclusion. Drink now through 2030. 830 cases made, 250 cases imported."
