Vintage Factsheets
The Royal Tokaji Gold Label 6 Puttonyos is crafted from a selection of the finest grapes harvested from the estate’s most prestigious vineyards in the Tokaj region. The vineyards that contribute to this exceptional wine are primarily located in the Mád commune, an area renowned for its unique terroir of volcanic soils and ideal microclimate. These vineyards, including some of Royal Tokaji’s prized 1st Growth sites, benefit from the perfect conditions for the development of the botrytized grapes that are essential for Tokaji’s signature sweetness and complexity.

- Aging
- We took high-quality Aszú berries with good structure and perfect botrytis and let them macerate in fermenting must for two days. Then, we pressed the berries and let the wine finish fermenting. Next, we filled the wine into 300 and 500 litre Hungarian oak casks and stored them in our deep, underground cellars for over two years. Finally, in the spring of 2020, we carefully crafted the final blends.

"Restrained, poised and elegant, with intense orange and lemon, and the most delicate of caramel aromas. Layers of fresh apricot and peach dominate the palate, balanced with searing acidity, while two years of ageing in 300-litre and 500-litre oak frames the wine. It's delightful now but should age spectacularly.."
