  • Introduction

    • During the renaissance many wines were known as “Greco, Grecante, Grechetto.” Montefalco’s Grecante was one of the most appreciated. Indeed, the head of the Municipality of Montefalco used to send this wine as a precious gift to princes and important clergymen. Arnaldo Caprai’s Grecante keeps this long tradition alive.

  • Grecante Grechetto Colli Martani DOC — 2021 – Wine Spectator – 90 Points

“A lively, light- to medium-bodied white, offering generous tangerine and ruby red grapefruit fruit flavors that show accents of fresh herbs, spices and smoke, all backed by tangy acidity. Lightly chalky on the mouthwatering finish.”

  • Grecante Grechetto Colli Martani DOC — 2021 – Vinous – 90 Points

“The 2021 Grecante is sweetly floral with ripe orchard fruits and hints of chamomile. This impresses with its soft, gentle textures and sweet inner spice. A bump of zesty acids comes through in the finale, along with a staining of salty minerals. It’s very pleasing.”
