  • Vintage Report

    • The 2019 vintage has excellent climate conditions for both the red and white varietals. The spring was abundant with persistent rainfall and was cool and consistently windy, which helped dry the morning mist and rain water off the vines. During the summer months, there was less rainfall and ample exposure to bright sunshine which assisted the fruit to mature. The nights were very cool, creating strong thermic excursions between day and night. The yields of Nerello Mascalese (harvested in mid-October) were abundant compared with seasonal averages, and the quality was optimal, producing an elegant wine.

  • Feudo Montoni Nerello Mascalese Rosé di Adele Sicilia DOC – 2019 – Wine Enthusiast – 93 Points

Intense aromas of spring wildflowers, wild berries and Mediterranean brush lead the nose on this tangy rosato. Made with organically grown Nerello Mascalese, the vibrant, delicious palate delivers strawberry, pomegranate, star anise and a hint of ginger alongside racy acidity. It closes on a savory saline note.

  • Feudo Montoni Nerello Mascalese Rosé di Adele Sicilia DOC – 2019 – Vinous – 90 Points

The 2019 Rosé di Adele from Feudo Montoni lifts from the glass with a pretty yet understated bouquet, showing sweet florals with hints of mint leaf, ripe apple, and gingery spice. On the palate, soft textures are offset by zesty acids and saline-minerals, as its fruit leans more toward ripe melon and sweet herbs. The finish is medium in length, yet mouthwatering and just begging me to take another sip. This is yet another Nerello Mascalese Rosato that’s truly worth the hunt.
