Celeste Verdejo, DO Rueda
Celeste Verdejo is born on the slopes of the Duero River near Villafranca de Duero from soley estate vineyards. The Familia Torres owned vineyards lie in a unique zone of the DO with distinct soils of riverbed gravel and stones which allow the verdejo to mature exceptionally and imparts a characteristic minerality to the wine. Made with the Verdejo varietal and a small percentage of Sauvignon Blanc, with a period of lees aging, to add unique complexity to this friendly and approachable wine.
Celeste Verdejo is crafted exclusively from estate vineyards, with vines rooted on gentle hillsides that trace the banks of the Duero River. This part of DO Rueda is defined by its unique soils of riverbed gravel, stone, and sand, which offer excellent drainage and contribute to the wine’s freshness, minerality, and clarity.

"The 2024 Celeste Verdejo Sur Lies includes 14% Sauvignon Blanc from Rueda. At this stage, it leans strongly toward Sauvignon, with aromas of apple, grapefruit, lime and herbs. The palate is slightly creamier, with refreshing acidity. This is a wine that straddles both Verdejo and Sauvignon profiles, offering clear, expressive flavor and a taut, energetic structure."
