Potent aromatic sensation. Tertiary aromas blend with chocolate, black and red fruit jam and sweet spice perceptions. The long ageing shows an ample texture of balsamic wood facets, notes of incense and toasted components that merge into a lush and elegant texture.

2015
"In the bottle with the white wax capsule, the Arnaldo Caprai 2015 Montefalco Sagrantino Spinning Beauty is held back for 10 years before hitting the market. This is one of vintner Marco Caprai's two headlining wines, along with the Merlot Belcompare. You get a more authentic taste of Umbria here, however. The idea behind this late release is to provide us with a key for understanding how Sagrantino tannins eventually unwind with bottle age. You still taste pixilated astringency that is somewhat softened by toasted spice and barbecue smoke. This wine is extremely powerful and intense with thick layers of black fruit. You get dried spice, cumin and Turkish coffee over a long finish."
