Celebrating Wilson Daniels 40th Anniversary in St. Helena
It’s finally here. The first stop of the #WilsonDaniels40 Anniversary Tour kicked off in St. Helena, California at the Wilson Daniels Headquarters, and as producers, VIP, and media mingled and tasted wines from the portfolio, it became clear that this anniversary tour is more than just celebrating 40 years of success — it was about celebrating the people and wine producers who made, and continue to make, that success a reality.
Thirty-four of our brands — including Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, which has been a part of the portfolio for 39 of the 40 years — and the Wilson Daniels team came together to pour and taste and chat, and soon it was time to celebrate under the stars at the Harvest Table, where Wilson Daniels president Rocco Lombardo, co-founder Jack Daniels, and Chris Underwood, CEO of Young’s Market, Wilson Daniels’ parent company, all gave heartfelt speeches about the power of the Wilson Daniels brand and those who make it what it is — our amazing producers.
“This success wouldn’t be possible without our winery partners. A lot has been accomplished, but trust me it’s just the beginning,” Rocco Lombardo remarked.
“Win [Daniels] and I were just two guys in our thirties with a passion for wine — for good wine,” said Jack Daniels. “Today it’s just amazing the recognition this company has garnered. And it’s all because of the Wilson Daniels team and what our producers are doing. I couldn’t be more proud to have the name on that door.”
“There’s no question that Wilson Daniels is the most prestigious fine-wine company in the United States,” said Chris Underwood. “So I hope all the producers here today feel they’re in great hands, because this is a very special company.”
Here’s to an amazing 40th tour and celebration. One city down, four to go. To see more and celebrate with us, make sure to follow Wilson Daniels on Instagram and Facebook, and follow #WilsonDaniels40. Cheers!
