Bisol Releases Prosecco Rosé
Bisol 1542 Jeio Prosecco DOC Rosé — a new release available in late November at SRP $16.99— will transport you to historic Valdobbiadene, where Italy’s most popular sparkling wine takes root. This exciting new category of wine was recently introduced by Italy’s Prosecco DOC Consortium, and represents a triumph in the face of challenge as well as a milestone in the luxury Italian wine industry: the crossroads of rosé and sparkling wine from the country’s record global and American popularity.
A 2019 vintage brut offering (6.5g/L) composed of 85% Glera and 15% Pinot Nero grapes using the Charmat method, Jeio Prosecco DOC Rosé is soft, effervescent, and crisply mineral-forward at 11% ABV. The Pinot Nero of this vintage comes from a ‘CRU’ of four selected hectares chosen from the same area, near the town of Follina, in the heart of the steep hills of Valdobbiadene that became a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2019.
Silky and evocative, Jeio Prosecco DOC Rosé beautifully leads the newly established category with its contemporary freshness and versatility, combined with its deep connection to its historic terroir and undeniable Prosecco character. The Bisol family, who have lived in and loved the hills of Valdobiaddene for 500 years, are uniquely suited to take on the exciting challenge of Prosecco Rosé and ensure its elevation.
