La Spirale Pinot Noir, Ribbon Ridge
La Spirale means the vortex; a symbol of life, creation and the natural formative forces that guide our hands in our agricultural and winemaking pursuits at Bergström Wines. It is also the name of Bergstrom's newest estate vineyard on the Ribbon Ridge AVA, just a stone’s throw from their Le Pré du Col Vineyard and within eyesight of the winery on the Chehalem Mountains AVA. This complex and beautifully positioned Southwest facing 22-acre rolling slope includes more than 14 different marine sedimentary soil expressions. Purchased by Bergstrom in 2018 the wine offers an almost ethereal expression of Pinot from this particular site.

Dark red raspberry in color. The perfume is an ethereal bouquet of wildflowers and roses, playful jelly jars of pomegranate, red currant, raspberry, strawberry and fruit candies. On the palate, this sinewy and terroir-driven ruby of a wine is all about red fruits, elegant spice, fresh loam, grape-stalk-driven savory herbs and a sandstone and saline minerality.

"Floral, pretty and red-fruited with saline and wild herb aromas. The palate shows salt and minerals, vibrant fruit character, pleasing concentration and a seamless, silky structure. A beautiful wine. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold."
