  • Introduction

    • The 2009 Brunello was produced with our proprietary clone of Sangiovese Grosso called BBS11, which was identified and selected by Biondi-Santi at Tenuta Greppo. For this Brunello we used grapes from vineyards which were older than 10 years of age, including the oldest ones that are usually designated for the production of Riserva.

  • Tasting Notes

    • A testament of elegance and soul, the Brunello 2009 is a true gentleman’s wine with a bouquet of undergrowth and red fruits underlined by warm balsamic sensations and elegant flinty hints. On the palate it impresses with a vertical tannic structure and a vibrant freshness, while the soothing finish reveals hints of tobacco and vintage leather.

    • Serving Suggestions: Serve at 60/64˚ F. Uncork and decant wine from the bottle for 4-6 hours before serving.
