  • Introduction

    • RouteStock is an invitation to discover the deep roots of winemaking in Napa and Sonoma, planted firmly at each step of your journey through our vineyard sites. Every glass tells the story of Napa’s remarkable fine wine heritage, from the famous routes that wind between the vineyards, to the roots that produce its world-renowned grapes. An endeavor of enduring Napa-based importer Wilson Daniels, RouteStock is established as a product that consistently over-delivers in quality at a very attractive price point.

  • Vineyard Profile

    • Napa Valley Cabernet is a world-renowned institution, and ours is born from long-term relationships with five top-quality vineyards throughout the region. Hailing from the cooler Yountville and Coombsville regions, the warmer St. Helena, the mountainous Mount Veeder, and the valley floor Rutherford, the fruit we source for this bottling produces a bright and complex blend that reflects all the best elements of Napa. We finish the wine with small percentages of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot to deliver the best complexity and balance.

  • Vintage Report

    • A dry winter and spring, along with warm late winter temperatures, brought an early bud-break and flowering under good conditions. The summer growing season in all of Napa Valley was amazing with some usual heat spikes. There were early wildfires and then another round in September that we were fortunate to be in locations that were minimally impacted. We harvested from mid-September through October 3rd. The fruit arrived at the winery extremely healthy and with an amazing balance of chemistry and flavors

  • Tasting Notes

    • The deep purple color of the wine extends all the way to the rim of the glass and gives way to an explosive nose that is the essence of Napa Valley, black fruit, dark cocoa, coffee and deep plum. The wine is thick, rich and full on the palate with beautiful balance between fruit, tannin, acidity, oak and alcohol. The flavors of chocolate, blackberry, bay laurel and sweet French oak penetrate the palate and last for minutes. There is strength and power but constrained with bright acidity, fruit and just the right amount of balancing tannin. The wine is savory and chewy as well as bright and vibrant
